Tsutomu Katori (Japanese: 加鳥 勉) is a GF Commander encountered in the game's story and an eventual ally that can be teamed up with to fight against the Death Force threat. He specializes in tank and air borgs. He's been known to partner with Usagi and Tetsuya.

Personality and Character

Tsutomu is a child who is forced to study by his parents. His test scores are good, so he thinks himself to be smart. He's characterized as aggressive.

Play Style & Tips

As an ally, once Tsutomu adds flying borgs to his team, he is very good at surviving in most story missions. All of his borgs have decent, ranged offensive options, so he is able to provide consistent supporting fire.

Friendly fire may happen, and some of his borg attacks are particularly high-damage, but these situations are easy to avoid just by being vigilant and mobile, which players familiar with the game likely will already be.

Recruitment

Tsutomu is recruited simultaneously with Usagi after the story mission "Battle with Usagi & Tsutomu!"

This mission plays out in Safaritown Market Place.

• Like his surname might suggest, Tsutomu was designed with a bird motif in mind.
• Tsutomu was conceptualized to have a sister at some point as indicated by concept art of her found in the game's official Capcom Special Selection CD artbook. Whether or not this detail is canon in the final story is unconfirmed.
