Flying Saucer is Gotcha Borg number 195. It is an Air Borg equipped with two energy guns and a devastating laser.

Description[]

A mysterious high speed mini flying saucer! It is equipped with unique weapons that no-one has even seen before! What is the truth behind this strange UFO?

Analysis/Strategy[]

Using this Borg[]

This ship looks kind of like the USS Enterprise, and is just as effective as the Federation's flagship. This borg has something that no other borg has, something that puts it in a league all its own. It has the ability to infinitely air dash. All other air borgs fly around, but can tap into a dash meter when they need to move quickly. Flying Saucer has no meter and can air dash whenever it feels like. This means that this borg will be able to dodge essentially any kind of attack with ease, especially since it can fly. When it air dashes forwards or backwards, it squares itself up so it is directly facing its opponent. This helps line up shots for Flying Saucer's brutal Devastation Laser (which also charges very quickly might I add. Keep dashing around erratically in order to dodge any errant shots that enemies might be firing up at you.

Against this Borg[]

Borgs that have range are good against Air Borgs, but in this case simply being able to tote fun guns isn't enough. Good counters for this borg are able to hit it reliably, because it has enough HP to keep going even after taking a few hits. Borgs that fire large beams that track and hit instantly (Like Neo G RedBeam Wing RedCyber Hero, etc) as well as borgs that sent out drones (like Cyber Girl Hyper and Cyber Atlas) are going to be most effective against this borg.

When fighting this borg, do what you can not let it get too far away and circle it. This will make you a much harder target to hit. If you're too close it won't be able to hit your borg with Maser. And if you're circling you'll be much harder to hit with Devastation Laser. Approach this borg kind of like you would if Samurai Shogunwere an Air Borg.

Additionally, if this borg shows up on the field and you don't want do dance with it (say you're using a melee focused borg), start hugging your target. It will make it so Flying Saucer will have a very hard time trying to hit your borg without also hitting their ally.
